It is functional, the truth is the camera is super basic but to start it is fine.
I have experience using non FPV drones. Once I synchronize and operate the drone, it becomes very easy to fly. Bumped into a wall... bounced off and continued walking forward. Very sturdy, easy to fly, with a bit of complexity in configuration and registration... but it works very well.
